Idaho State Board Vice President Edmunds to Speak At ISU Faculty Seminar on Jan. 20

            POCATELLO – Kenneth Edmunds, vice president of the Idaho State Board of Education, will deliver the presentation “Role of State Board of Education in Idaho’s Economic Development” from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, in Room B-3G of the ISU Oboler Library.

            Edmunds' talk will also be broadcast to Room 104 of the Center for Higher Education at University Place in Idaho Falls, Room 509at the ISU-Meridian Health Science Center and to rooms to be announced at Boise State University and at the University of Idaho in Moscow.

            This ISU faculty development seminar is sponsored by the ISU Office of Academic Affairs, College of Science and Engineering, and Department of Electrical Engineering.

            Edmunds will discuss how higher education is essential for citizens of Idaho and its knowledge-based economy that will require more individuals with advanced degrees. The State’s major universities are key for contributing to Idaho’s continued economic growth, especially in attracting high-tech companies and talents to the State.
